Gut health basics

Kombucha does a lot, but it can't do everything. These are the boring-but-brilliant basics I'd put next to it: good olive oil, fibre, creatine and proper apple cider vinegar. Nothing faddy.

Kev's guide to gut health basics

Kombucha does a lot, but it can't do everything. These are the boring-but-brilliant basics I'd put next to it.

  • Honest Toil High-Polyphenol Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil: cold-pressed and unfiltered, around 540 mg/kg polyphenols. Peppery, grassy and properly good.
  • Happy Gut Super Pre-Biotic Blend: a fibre blend. The UK recommends 30g of fibre a day and most adults manage about 20g.
  • Pure Creatine Monohydrate: one of the most studied supplements in sports science.
  • Loving Foods Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother: raw, unfiltered and unpasteurised, from the crew behind Loving Foods kombucha.

Nothing faddy. Pair them with a few bottles from the kombucha fridge.

Good questions

Why these four?

They're the simple, well-understood basics I rate. No miracle claims.

What does high-polyphenol mean on the olive oil?

Polyphenols are natural compounds in olives. Honest Toil's oil comes in at around 540 mg/kg, which is why it's so peppery.

Can I add these to a kombucha order?

Yes, and they count towards the box deal too: 6 items for 5% off, 12 for 10%, 24 for 15%. One order, one delivery.
